On August 15th 1947 at the stroke of midnight, India got freedom after 300 years of British rule. It is a day of National Celebration, and a united feeling of festivity, pride, and joy. The celebrations of the day commences by hoisting the tri coloured national flag and singing the National Anthem.
The children at OES International School, Vashi celebrated additionally with a group dance, and crafting a ‘take away’ National Flag.
The word ‘National’ relates not only to the flag, but also to:
The National Animal – the tiger
The National Bird – the peacock
The National Flower – the lotus
