Independence Day was celebrated in OES International School Andheri, to mark the 71st year of freedom from the British rule with great patriotic fervor, zeal and zest.
On this patriotic occasion our little OESian’s showcased a colourful spectacle of India’s vision.
The morning began with a dance performance presented by our little ones.
It was a proud moment to watch the students dance like a dream and spread the essence of tri colour wrapped in emotions and pride for our motherland.
They came in dressed like different freedom fighters like Rani of Jhansi, Maulana Azad, Bhaghat Singh, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru etc.
The teachers taught them the significance of Independence Day.
The children did craft activities to showcase their talents. They made the National Flag using the technique of finger printing. The outline of the flag was drawn on paper and the children dipped their fingers in saffron, white and green colours and made finger impressions on the National Flag drawn by their teacher.
They played games and had healthy snacks.
The children’s enthusiasm and energy reinforced the belief that even though our nation is very diverse with many religions, languages and cultures, everyone comes together as a nation and experiences a common feeling of patriotism on Independence Day.
The day ended by singing the national anthem.
