China has a long history of martial arts traditions that includes hundreds of different styles. Over the past two thousand years many distinctive styles have been developed, each with its own set of techniques and ideas. There are also common themes to the different styles, which are often classified by “families” or “schools”. There are styles that mimic movements from animals and others that gather inspiration from various Chinese philosophies, myths and legends. Kung fu refers to any skill that is acquired through learning or practice and Wushu refers to martial arts. At OESIS Vashi, a lot of emphasis is given on physical activity, strength and fitness. So in the Summer Spark 2015 we have included the Chinese martial art style for students of age group right from 3- 5yrs. Sportspro (chief patron Adam Gilchrist, former Vice Captain Australian Test and ODI Team) is also collaborating with OES International School for a multi sports programme for Summer Spark and after school activity.
